So this turned out to be surprisingly difficult to actually fix. For some reason, the server keeps throwing me either old or 503ing CSS...

I've got a number of fixes upstream that I've yet to pull down to ShoutWiki - I believe this might be amongst them?

Unless I'm mistaken, ShoutWiki gains revenue from hosting the ads. Individual users blocking them on their personal devices (there are dozens of free content blockers out there) shouldn't affect anything

Ad blockers should not be banned or discouraged in any way. Users should be allowed to block the ads on their personal devices - ShoutWiki doesn't loose any revenue from this.
The outermost div#column-google is now 160px wide, but some of the intermediate nested elements remain 120px.
I found similar issues in other skins.
